Walgreen's Deal of the Day
However, as much as I love to go to Walgreen's, I will admit that the last four times, the register didn’t ring up my coupons correctly or give me the rewards as the ad had stated. You may want to watch your receipts closely. Because, when I say the last four time that is no exaggeration.
I also got Chicken of the Sea for $.69 3 maximum reg $1.69(?). and I had a $.25 coupon, so I got three can for less than $2.00.
Ban deodorant was $1.49 store sale and I had a $.75 coupon so I got Ban for $.75
Walgreen's also stacks coupons; that means, they take manufacturers coupons and store coupons an any one item unless other wise stated that they do not.
The deals are out there, you just have to be diligent about finding them and using them. Coupons are the new chic.

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad
Marinating Time: 15 min.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Grill Time: 15 min.
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 3/4 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces (about 13 cups)
1/2 cup Pepperidge Farm® Classic Caesar Croutons
1. Stir the soup, water, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire, garlic, black pepper and 3 tablespoons cheese in a shallow nonmetallic dish or gallon size resealable plastic bag. Reserve 1 1/4 cups for dressing. Add the chicken to the remaining soup mixture and turn to coat. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2. Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill the chicken for 15 minutes or until cooked through, turning and brushing often with the marinade. Discard the remaining marinade. Remove the chicken to a cutting board. Thinly slice the chicken.
3. Place the lettuce and chicken into a large bowl. Add the reserved dressing and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the croutons and remaining cheese.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with whole-grain bread and reduced-fat Cheddar cheese. For dessert serve angel-food cake drizzled with warmed all-fruit strawberry preserves.
Ingredient Note: We develop our recipes using a 4-to 5-ounce skinless, boneless chicken breast half per serving. However, there are a range of sizes available in-store, from the butcher counter to the meat case and the freezer section. Use whichever you prefer- just follow the recipe as written above for the best result. If you're using larger chicken breasts they may require a little longer cooking time.
Makes: 6 servings (about 3 cups each).

Fabulous Salad for Meatless Mondays
Pasta Salad with Eggplant, Zucchini and Squash
- YIELD: Serves 8
- COOK TIME:
- PREP TIME:
- COST PER SERVING:$1.21
- COURSE: Salads
- 1 medium eggplant (about 1 1/4 lb.), ends trimmed
- 2 zucchini, cut into small pieces
- 2 yellow squash, cut into small pieces
- 1 pound short pasta such as penne or shells
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves, sliced
- Salt and pepper
- 1. Preheat a broiler or prepare a medium-hot charcoal fire. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- 2. Cut eggplant in half lengthwise and place cut side down on a broiling pan or cut side up on oiled grates. Broil or grill until skin is crinkly and hard, about 15 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Set aside to steam for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a work surface and carefully scrape out flesh, discarding skin. (Eggplant will be hot, so use a kitchen towel to hold one end while you scrape out flesh with a large spoon.)
- 3. Add zucchini and yellow squash to boiling water and bring back to a boil. Cook for 1 minute or until just tender. Use a slotted spoon to remove, transfer to a colander and run under cold water. Drain on paper towels and pat dry. Keep water at a full boil.
- 4. Add pasta to boiling water and cook until al dente, 10 to 12 minutes, depending on package directions. Drain and run under cold water. Shake colander to remove as much water as possible, and place pasta in a large bowl. Add oil, vinegar, eggplant, zucchini and squash. Stir in basil; toss well and season generously with salt and pepper. Serve at room temperature.
